The Non-profit Joint Stock Company “Kostanay Regional University named after Akhmet Baitursynuly”, in accordance with paragraph 7 of the Rules for the procurement of goods, works, and services necessary for conducting scientific research by research institutes and organizations of higher and/or postgraduate education funded from the state budget, approved by the Order of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 26, 2024 No. 538, within the framework of the research project BR24992839 “Study of the impact of ecotoxicants and innovative agricultural technologies on agricultural lands and products of the Kostanay region”, announces a call for bids for the procurement of a soil sampler for scientific research.

Technical Specifications of the Equipment to be Procured

Mobile Agro-Sampling Complex “Agrometrika-Agroprob”, 1 unit.

The supplied complex is an automated soil sampling system mounted on a specialized metal frame rigidly fixed to the chassis of an open trailer. It features a hydraulic mechanism enabling transition from transport to working position without dismantling the equipment. The design provides full automation of the soil sampling process at depths of 0–30 cm, with adjustable depth control and sampling parameter recording. The system includes a soil container capable of obtaining a composite sample weighing 250–350 g from 15–20 cores. Sampling time for one sample does not exceed 5 seconds.

A hydraulic auger with a diameter of 22–26 mm is used as the working element; the set includes spare augers Ø 24 mm and Ø 26 mm. Rotational motion is provided by a hydraulic motor powered by an independent hydraulic power unit, while vertical movement (up/down) is driven by a hydraulic cylinder. The power unit is based on a GB 420 E gasoline engine with an electric starter and an oil pump. Control of the complex is possible from inside the vehicle cabin at the operator’s workstation, as well as via a wireless remote control. The sampler has its own hydraulic system, ensuring autonomous operation without connection to the vehicle’s hydraulic circuits. Electrical equipment operates on DC power.

A positioning system is implemented using a Samsung Galaxy Lite LTE 8.7″ tablet (Android) with pre-installed and permanently activated specialized software “Agrometrika”.

“Agrometrika” Software

An integrated GIS-based software suite designed for automation and digitalization of zonal soil sampling processes. It provides:

  • Creation of sampling schemes with automatic division of the study area into zones and drilling points based on predefined agronomic parameters
  • Automatic geolocation — determining and recording coordinates of each sampling point using GPS/GLONASS, with accuracy no worse than ±2 m
  • Real-time visualization — displaying the route, operator position, and completed sampling points on an interactive map
  • Synchronization with the sampler — automatic command transfer to the hydraulic drive and drilling mechanism upon reaching a sampling point, eliminating manual confirmation
  • Data export in CSV, XLS, SHP, and other formats compatible with agrochemical and GIS analytical systems
  • Offline mode — operation without Internet access through local storage of maps and route data
  • Integration with agro-monitoring systems — data transfer to centralized databases for comprehensive soil condition analysis
  • Perpetual license — included in the delivery, without limitations on time, number of installations, or launches, with update and technical support rights

Additional Components

For real-time monitoring, the complex includes a video camera with a 4.3″ TFT LCD monitor installed in the operator’s cabin. A 76-liter aluminum storage box (592×388×409 mm) with a lock is provided for storing collected samples. The set also includes a 20-liter fuel canister with frame mounting and a 48 W spotlight for nighttime operation.

Transport dimensions of the complex: 1100 × 1500 × 600 mm.
Productivity under normal operation: up to 1500 ha/day.
