Title: PromethION 2 Solo
PromethION 2 Solo is a compact desktop device designed to work with two PromethION flow cells. Each cell is independently controlled, which allows you to run experiments in parallel or separately. The device connects to a GridION Mk1 or a user's computer for real-time data streaming and analysis.
PromethION 2 Solo is a modular nanopore sequencing device using the same technology as MinION and GridION. It allows you to perform up to two experiments simultaneously or separately and can be used to provide sequencing services.
The device has two ports for installing PromethION streaming cells. It does not contain an integrated computing module, but it can be connected to a GridION Mk1 or an autonomous computer that meets the minimum requirements. This allows basecalling of data from two cells in real time. Modern chemistry and software provide up to 290 gigabytes of data from a single PromethION cell (the theoretical maximum at a sequencing rate of 420 bp/sec for 72 hours).
The device is equipped with a USB Type-C port for connecting to external computing systems, which makes installation simple and does not require laboratory upgrades.
