The modern development of Kazakhstan is unthinkable without science, innovative technologies, the introduction of scientific achievements in production, in education. Science and education play a crucial role in ensuring the dynamism of the economy and political stability of Kazakhstan's society, which is especially important at the present time, when we are in the pan-European educational space.
The research work of Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University is organized and carried out in accordance with the state policy in the field of science and education, on the basis of regulatory documents on the development of science in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Program for the Development of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2011-2020, the Strategic Plan of the Akhmet Baitursynuly KRU for 2020-2025, the science plan for 2020, plans of educational and scientific departments for calendar and academic years, individual work plans (IWP) of teachers for the academic year.
In this regard, the main goal of the KRU team in the field of research is the formation of a new generation university that combines educational activities with scientific research, design and technological developments and their practical implementation in key areas of regional development.
Specific tasks have been set in the field of integration of science and production in order to achieve this goal: increasing the efficiency of the university's scientific work, focusing the university's activities on conducting applied scientific research, improving the process of postgraduate training in accordance with the requirements of production.
The university staff has carried out a lot of work aimed at fulfilling the tasks set and at further improving and achieving positive results of scientific activity, increasing the status of the university.
The University's research activities are coordinated by the Vice-Rector for Science, Internationalization and Digitalization, the Department of Science and Postgraduate Education, the Department of International Cooperation and Recruitment of Foreign Students.
The research work of Akhmet Baitursynuly Kostanay Regional University is carried out in the field of agricultural economics, crop production, agriculture, agrochemistry and soil science, plant protection, microbiology, veterinary and animal husbandry, plant and animal biotechnology, mechanization and electrification of agriculture, IT technologies, as well as the humanities.
The university, as аn accredited subject of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activities , conducts fundamental and applied scientific research, which is carried out at the expense of state and extra-budgetary sources (List of contracts within the framework of public-private partnership for 2017-2024).
The main subjects of research and innovation activities of the Akhmet Baitursynuly are the Institute of Fundamental Research, Research Institutes of Applied Biotechnology, scientific, production and educational laboratories, teaching staff, students (students, undergraduates, doctoral students), forming scientific schools, creative teams.
